The Bavarian Höslwang is amongst the most sun-lit location in Germany, with its solar radiation of 1295 kWh/sqm. Given that, it was simply ecologically reasonable to build Germany’s largest contiguous solar plant exactly here. It was connected to the public electricity network in June 2004 with a total power of more than 1.8 MW.
The load-bearing understructure of the module rows was built completely from weather-resistant Robinia wood. The solar park of around 4.5 hectares in size follows the landscape as a wave. At the same time the grassed area below, can be used as pasture as before.
Eurobinia supported this ecologically exemplary project with European Robinia, know-how and great interest.
