The world’s largest photo-voltaic system was connected to the electricity network in September 2004 in Espenhain, about 30 kilometres south of Leipzig – with 33,264 solar modules on 16 hectares, a total power of 5 MW and module frames made of Robinia wood.

In case of the wood structure, the Swiss architect trusted the construction to our Robinia wood, and this way he relied correctly on the particular weather-resistance and stability of this domestic wood.

After Höslwang in Bavaria, the Saxon solar park Espenhain was the second large photo-voltaic system supported by eurobinia with wood, competence and sympathy.
